Terms of Service
Last updated: October 31, 2026
In short
- You pay once for your website. Monthly plans are optional, billed monthly through PayPal, and you can cancel any time in your client portal.
- You give us accurate information about your business and only send us photos and text you have the right to use.
- We build, host and look after your website as described in your plan. We can’t control Google, and we don’t promise rankings, calls or sales.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Site Made Easy (“we”, “us”) builds websites for small local businesses and looks after them. These terms apply when you view a website preview we made for you, buy a website, start a monthly plan, or use your client portal. “You” means the business buying from us and the person acting for it.
By paying for a website or a monthly plan you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We record which version you agreed to.
2. Website previews
We may make a free preview of a website for your business from public information (for example your Google listing, OpenStreetMap and your current website) with the help of AI writing tools. A preview is a proposal, not your live website. You owe nothing unless you choose to buy.
Preview links are private and unguessable, but anyone you share the link with can see the preview. Previews that aren’t used are removed after about four months.
3. The one-time website price
The website is a one-time purchase. The price is shown on your preview page before you pay and is paid once, through PayPal.
The website price includes:
- A professional website designed for your business, built for phones first
- A "Call now" button on phones and your phone number at the top of every page
- A quote / appointment request form; every request is emailed to you and kept in your client portal
- An instant "we got your request" email to the customer
- A "Book online" button linked to your booking service (Square, Calendly, Booksy and others), if you use one
- Your address with a map and "Get directions", your opening hours, and your Google rating
- Set up for Google, Bing and AI search tools: page titles, business details, sitemap, and Bing told about every update right away
- Google Business Profile setup: we create or connect your profile and fill in your details, hours, services, photos and website link (Google may ask you to verify the business or approve our access)
- Your Google profile copied to Bing Places, so you show on Bing Maps too (Bing may ask you to verify)
- Help connecting your own domain
- Hosting and security for the first year
- A client portal with your messages, report and support
- Send us photos, videos, files and your business details in your client portal, and see where each one stands
- Leave sticky notes on your website for us, and get our replies by email
It does not include: buying or renewing a domain name, paid services from other companies that you choose to use (for example your booking service), or work beyond the list above unless we agree to it in writing.
After you pay, we finish your website, you can ask for changes before it goes live, and we publish it once it is ready. Google may ask you to verify your business or approve our access before your Google profile is complete; Google decides on verification.
4. Monthly plans
Monthly plans are optional. You can start them in your client portal under Billing, and you can choose Google Profile Care when you buy your website: you start it with one more PayPal approval right after paying.
Each plan is a PayPal subscription. It is billed monthly, starting on the day you approve it at PayPal, until you cancel. The price is shown before you approve it.
Website Care includes:
- Hosting, security and uptime monitoring (we are alerted if your site goes down)
- A monthly report: visitors, calls, requests, Google Maps positions, Google rating and reviews
- Weekly speed and search checks, with technical fixes made for you
- Changes to your website when you ask: text, photos, hours, pages
- Ongoing Google Business Profile updates: hours and holiday hours, photos, services, and Google’s suggested edits, checked monthly
Growth includes:
- Everything in Website Care
- Review requests: ask each customer for an honest Google review by email, or by text from your own phone, and see how many reviews arrive
- A reminder when a customer request has not been answered after a few hours, and your response time in the report
- A monthly growth plan: your 3 most valuable next steps, ranked by impact and effort
- A page for each of your main services, written for your area
- Your positions in Google search for your keywords, checked monthly
Google Profile Care (on its own) includes:
- Your Google Business Profile checked and updated every month: hours and holiday hours, photos, services
- Google’s requests and suggested edits handled for you
- A log of every change we make, in your client portal
You only pay for one plan per website: Growth replaces Website Care, and both include Google Profile Care. When you start Growth, your Website Care subscription is cancelled; when you start Website Care or Growth, your Google Profile Care subscription is cancelled.
If we change the price of a plan you already have, we will tell you by email before the new price applies to your subscription, so you can cancel first if you prefer.
5. Cancelling a monthly plan
You can cancel any time in your client portal: open Billing and press “Cancel this plan”. You can also email us at hello@sitemadeeasy.app.
Cancelling ends the subscription at PayPal right away, and you won’t be charged again. The plan keeps working until the end of the month you have already paid for; after that its services stop: for example the monthly report, the weekly checks and fixes, changes on request, Google profile updates, and (for Growth) review requests, request reminders, the growth plan and ranking checks.
Cancelling a plan does not take your website down. Your website stays online as described in Hosting and your domain. Payments already made are handled as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Hosting and your domain
Hosting and security for the first year are included in the website price. Website Care and Growth include hosting while the plan is active. After the first year, hosting continues as described in your plan.
Until you connect your own domain, your website has an address on sitemadeeasy.app (for example yourbusiness.sitemadeeasy.app).
The website price includes help connecting a domain you own. Buying and renewing the domain itself is not part of the price: keep it registered in your name and renew it with your domain company. If a domain expires, your website stops showing at that address.
Websites are hosted on Cloudflare. We monitor them and work to keep them online, but we can’t promise that a website will never be unavailable, for example during an outage at a provider we rely on.
7. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about your business (name, address, phone, hours, services, prices, licenses) and tell us when it changes.
- Only send us photos, logos and text that you own or have permission to use. You are responsible if they infringe someone else’s rights.
- Check your website before it goes live, and tell us about anything that is wrong. We fix our mistakes.
- Answer the requests your customers send through your website. We pass them on; we don’t answer them for you.
- Make sure what your website says about your business is true and allowed for your trade.
- Keep access to the email address you use for your client portal, since sign-in codes are sent there.
8. Content written with AI
We use AI tools to help write the text of your website from your business information. We instruct them to use only facts about your business and not to make up things like reviews, awards, licenses or prices, but AI can make mistakes. Please read your website and tell us anything that is wrong; we will correct it.
9. Google, Bing and other platforms
If you give us permission at checkout, we create or connect your Google Business Profile and manage it with the access you give us. You can remove our access at any time in your Google account. Google decides on verification, on what it shows, and on how it ranks businesses. The same applies to Bing Places.
We work to make your business easy to find, but we don’t promise any particular ranking, number of visitors, calls, reviews or sales.
10. Who owns what
You own your business name, your logo, your photos and everything else you give us. Once your website is paid for, the text written for your website is yours to use.
We own our templates, code, tools and the Site Made Easy platform. Your website uses them while we host it.
You allow us to use what you give us to build, host and improve your website and to deliver your plan. We only show your website to others as an example of our work if you give us permission.
11. Acceptable use
You may not use your website or our services for anything illegal, for misleading or false claims, for content you don’t have the rights to, for spam, malware or collecting other people’s data, or for hateful, violent or sexually explicit content.
If a website breaks these rules or the law, we may take the content or the website offline. We will tell you first unless the problem is urgent or the law prevents it.
12. Payments
Payments are made through PayPal, with a PayPal account or a card. PayPal handles your card details; we never see or store your card number. Prices are in US dollars. Where sales tax applies, it is added on top of the price and shown before you pay. You get a receipt for every payment, by email and under Billing in your client portal.
If a monthly payment fails or is reversed, we may pause that plan’s services until it is sorted out. If you think a charge is wrong, please email us first; we will look into it and correct mistakes. Refunds are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
13. Limitation of liability
We provide our services with care, but to the extent the law allows, we provide them “as is” and are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data, or for the actions of Google, PayPal, hosting providers or other companies we don’t control.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws.
14. Ending our work together
You can stop using our services at any time by cancelling your plans. We may stop providing a service if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or don’t pay, after telling you and giving you a chance to fix it where that is reasonable.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change matters for you, we will tell you by email or in your client portal before it applies. The version you agreed to when you paid stays on record.
16. Governing law and disagreements
If something goes wrong, please email us first: most problems can be solved quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Site Made Easy is established, without affecting any rights you have under the laws of the place where you are based.
17. Contact
Questions about these terms: email hello@sitemadeeasy.app, or send us a message from your client portal.
